It was memorable experience, did not want to leave.
Location really close to many tourist attractions, including trevi fountains that is set 15 mins on foot. Only a short distance to Rome Termini metro station, some 10 minutes walk. Public parking was provided to the guests.
To grab a bite visit Pinsere, it is located close by. Via veneto was in close proximity to the hotel👍
What we liked the most was the location of the hotel: centrally located, accessible to public transport (bus lines that connect with the center) and close to important places and streets such as Via Tritón, Via del Corso, Fontana di Trevi 15 minutes walk away, mineral water fountains, Hard Rock Roma (3 minutes walk) ...We also liked the breakfast very much: varied, abundant and with a wide schedule (from 7:00 am - 10:00 am), the kindness and attention of the reception staff is also remarkable, because at all times we were provided with all the information we requested, either regarding the airport, or in relation to schedules and mobility within Rome.the Wifi connection in the rooms is excellent!
What we liked the least was the limited variety and offer in the menu of dinners. We travelled with half board included and the dinner offer was limited exclusively to a variety of 4 or 5 dishes that were the same every day: pomodoro pasta, pasta cacio or pepe, pasta carbonara, salmon, pork ribs and two or three varieties of salad, and as dessert, fruit of the day, house cake and/or ice cream, in addition, the dishes were a little fair in quantity. However, the quality of the food was excellent and very well cooked. We didn't like the architecture and layout of the hotel very much, it has to be improved in some aspects: renovation of bathrooms in general, renovation or elimination of carpets, etc...
The location was good, the day time staff were friendly, our room was very comfortable. The breakfast was good.
The wifii and internete station hardly ever worked. For business purposes it was very bad. The check out procedure was dreadful - we had a n early deaprture and they wouldn't let us pay the night before and in the morning the night-duty manager couldn't help us - so there is still confusion about payment which has to be sorted out after the event and remotely.
Staff at the hotel oxford were excellent. Service was fantastic and they were always happy and helpful. In a city that you are new to, this is a huge bonus. I would most definitely stay there again.
The room was clear. The staff is very kind.
Out of the rooms, the hotel is old, there are carpets in all the corridors. The elevator only goes to the second floor, the only way to go to the third floor is by stairs.
It is relatively well located.
I think prices at weekends are too high in relation to the services it provides. There is no wi fi in the rooms
It had an amazing atmosphere with a great social environment around the bar. It was a much more enjoyable experience than in Florence.
freiendly staff great location great service
If you asked for a service, it was delivered efficiently and of high service value and with thanks
No English breakfasts but we were in continental europe ha
We stayed twice in this hotel. At the start of the trip and at the end. The first rooms were on the top floor and the lift goes only till 2nd floor. So you have to take the bags on your own. The 2nd stay was on the 2nd floor and the rooms were totally different. Excellent furnished and finishing. The rooms were clean and well kept. Definitely one of the best rooms I stayed. Will surely stay there if I go to rome.
The location in general is not close to the rail station or town centre though most reviews keep saying behind the spanish steps etc. You would need to walk atleast 20 mins to get to Spanish steps and same for the Rail Station etc. But the location is a very quiet and nice place. Nothing negative to really not stay there again if i were to go to Rome
Hotel Oxford was not too far from main points of interest. The hotel staff was very attentive. The breakfast was very good.
The room was very small. The bed was not very comfortable and also it had only one side as the other side was against a wall, making it very difficult to jump into the bed. The shower in the bathroom was extremely small and uncomfortable, I had to bathe outside the shower so my hair would not get wet. The shower was so small that my husband did not fit inside. The closet (if it can be called closet) was so tiny that only 3 items would fit.
We stayed in the apartments and this gave us a feeling of an italian apartment. The room was very clean and large enough for two people. The front desk upon arrival was informative and very welcoming. The hotel is located in a good area - away from the main attractions yet close enough to walk to - 20 mins to Spanish Steps. The main street of the hotel - you can pick up the Hop On & Off bus - very convenient to get downtown to most of the attractions. Overall, my sister and I had a great italian experience at Hotel Oxford.
We stayed two nights and we did not get our room cleaned.
The quirkiness of the rooms appealed to me although I feel the hotel in general could do with a refurbishment
We were misled about the location, we would have preferred to been located more centrally. The hotel was quite expensive and was more like a 3 star than 4.
Quiet hotel, within walking distance to Spanish steps, via Venito, metro and other public transport. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The shower over a very small bathtub made it difficult to shower.
